Company History
Our history dates back to 1998 when a group of managers, engineers and designers from Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America (NGPL) formed the Energy Division of Epstein Architects & Engineers. In 2002, EN Engineering, LLC was formed by a joint venture between Epstein’s Energy Division and the Engineering & Technology Departments of Nicor Gas. Today, EN Engineering is jointly owned by CIVC Partners and the EN Engineering management team.
We have grown significantly from our beginnings, but we have continually maintained a strong emphasis on the energy industry; focusing on the Transmission and Distribution segments of the natural gas industry, liquids pipelines, automation and electrical power distribution. The acquisition of Wheatland Systems in 2010 greatly expanded the depth and breadth of EN Engineering’s Automation services offerings, adding automation of food and beverage and process facilities to its existing oil and gas automation capabilities. The acquisition of Eta Engineering in 2013 has enabled EN Engineering to expand its capabilities into the refining, chemical, and process safety management sectors.
Today, our team of over 700 professionals provides an unparalleled spectrum of services with expertise in natural gas & oil pipeline infrastructure, gas distribution, petroleum refining, process safety management, chemical processing, electric power generation & distribution, food & beverage processing, and manufacturing facilities.
