Job Description
Were looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Human Resources Intern/Generalist to join our dynamic People Team. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of HR functions, including onboarding and offboarding, system implementation and maintenance, benefits administration, and more.
This internship is designed to be both educational and practical - giving you the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world HR operations. Youll have the autonomy to explore, contribute, and grow in a supportive environment as you experience what its like to work in the HR field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the HR team across various areas such as benefits, compliance, and HR information systems (HRIS).
- Assist with key HR projects and initiatives, including our HRIS transition (Workday implementation), benefit fairs, audits, and other events.
- Help coordinate onboarding and orientation processes for new hires.
- Maintain and update HR records and databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Research and report on HR best practices and industry trends.
- Deliver excellent customer service by responding to HR-related inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the HR team with additional tasks or projects as needed.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Current student or recent graduate in Human Resources or a related field
- Tech-savvy and comfortable navigating new systems
- Foundational understanding of HR practices with a strong willingness to learn
- Creative, adaptable, and excited to take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with HR technology platforms
- Able to work efficiently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor
Additional Information
For New York, the expected salary for this position is $18.00 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
